July Highlights

With summer finally here we thought it was time to highlight some of the women-owned businesses that are keeping us cool and cute for the warmer months! Take a look and read about the amazing work these ladies have done to make a mark in their industries.

  1. Natasha Chase + Freya Estreller of Coolhaus

When Natasha and Freya founded Coolhaus in 2009, they did not feel represented by any of the dessert brands on shelves… not as Millennials, not as women, and definitely not as LGBTQ+ women. They decided to be the brand––from the product to our culture––that they wanted to buy. They’re proud to have turned their scrappy origins into the top women-led ice cream company in the nation with sammies, cones, pints and cups (in dairy and dairy-free!) in 6000 grocery stores.

Be sure to check them out in your local grocery store or at: Cool.Haus

2. LaParis Phillips of Brooklyn Blooms Floral Boutique

LaParis Phillips, a St. Louis native, has been a nature lover since childhood. Working at her family’s balloon/flower shop in her youth many seeds were planted. Entrepreneurship, sustainability and beauty has always been the foundation that has kept her rooted in the growth of Brooklyn Blooms. Phillips opened her shop in the neighborhood of Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn with a mission to serve it’s neighborhood and the surrounding communities with uniquely curated blooms while maintaining sustainable practices. By using curated seasonal blooms in interesting found vases her team creates “beautiful things out of beautiful things” with you in mind.

Be sure to check out her Brooklyn shop, or visit their website: Brooklynblooms.com
